The Russo-Japanese War of 1904-1905, one of the most important wars of the Modern War Era, may not be remembered today, but in the years it took place, it had a wide impact on the world public opinion. The unexpected victory of Japan caused the belief in the superiority of the White race to be questioned. For the first time after this war, Japan gained a place in international politics as a global power. In Russia, due to the dissatisfaction of the people with the war and the increase in internal opposition, an uprising broke out and resulted in the 1905 Revolution. In the Islamic World and the Ottoman Empire, it was followed with interest by the statesmen and the people. Everyone sided with Japan. Far Eastern countries also followed the war closely. The Japanese victory was a source of inspiration for the independence movements they would carry out at a later date. If the Japanese could do it, they could do it too. After the Russo-Japanese War of 1904-1905, movements in the Turkic World increased. The right to send representatives to the Duma was obtained. The increase in publishing activities such as various associations and non-governmental organizations, newspapers and magazines contributed to the strengthening of national consciousness.
