Sport is crucial in enhancing health, preventing diseases, and promoting psychosocial well-being at every stage of life. This study aimed to identify the health issues and reasons for participating in sports among women registered at a private sports center in Erzurum who exercise regularly. To this end, a survey was administered to 418 women. The survey was designed within the literature framework to determine demographic information, reasons for enrolling in sports, and the types of illnesses the participants had. The data were analyzed using the SPSS 21 software package. The research results were evaluated using frequency tables and crosstabs with descriptive statistics, and a Chi-Square Analysis was conducted. According to the analysis results, the youngest participant was 13 years old, and the oldest was 60 years old.
