Today, when environmental concerns are becoming increasingly important, consumer attitudes towards environmentally sensitive products are attracting attention.Environmental threats and conditions that trigger the health lead consumers to more environmentally friendly practices and products.The increasing sense of the importance of environmental awareness makes both and managers and marketers more sensitive to this.Especially in recent periods, the concept of green consumer is on the agenda, encouraging to produce products and services that can respond to the demands of this consumer mass.There is a positive increase in the tendency to consume recyclable products.Product selection, manufacturer selection and sellers have gained greater importance due to increased environmental concerns.In this case, continue their marketing activities with an environmentally friendly approach.In this process, green marketing has gained importance and has become a concept that forms the agenda of producers with an environmental understanding.Although green marketing practices are widespread worldwide, the study on consumer perceptions and preferences is not at a satisfactory level in numerology.In this context, the impact of environmental understanding on consumers’ green purchasing behavior has been evaluated in particular by university students.This study, which was conducted in order to determine the impact of consumer's environmental understanding on the behavior of purchasing environmentally sensitive products, was used as a data collection tool.The data obtained by the face-to-face survey method was analyzed through the spss 20.0 package program in the computer environment and recommendations were presented by interpreting the results.The results of the assessment have shown that environmental understanding has a positive impact on green purchasing behavior.
