Electrochemical analysis plays an important role in the determination of drug structures. This method of analysis offers the advantages of simplicity, low cost, accuracy and relatively short analysis time. Furthermore, electrochemical methods have been shown to be an alternative to conventional analytical techniques for routine drug detection in pharmaceutical formulations. In addition, modification of electrodes with nanoparticles enables simultaneous voltammetric determination of multiple drugs in pharmaceutical formulations and human plasma, demonstrating the versatility of electrochemical methods in drug analysis. The use of sensitive and accurate electrochemical methods in the analysis of drugs and the understanding of the behaviour of drugs in biological systems are of great importance.
