COMPARISON OF HEALTHY LIFESTYLE BEHAVIORS OF STUDENTS WHO ARE EDUCSATED IN DIFFERENT ASSOCIATE DEGREE PROGRAMS

Aim: This study aimed to compare the healthy lifestyle behaviors of Physiotherapy Program students and Alternative Energy Sources Program students studying at Pamukkale University Sarayköy Vocational School.Methods: Volunteer students between the ages of 18-25 studying at Pamukkale University Sarayköy Vocational School were included in the study. After students' sociodemographic data (age, gender, BMI), grade and department information were recorded, the Healthy Lifestyle Behavior Scale was applied to the students. The data were analyzed and interpreted statistically. Results: 131 students (38 men, 83 women) (average age:20.54±5.14) studying at Sarayköy Vocational School Physiotherapy Program (70 students) and Alternative Energy Sources Program (61 students) were included. In the comparison, no statistically significant difference was found between the students of the two departments in terms of Healthy Lifestyle Behavior Scale scores (p = 0.274). Conclusion: There was no difference in terms of healthy lifestyle behaviors of students who are and are not educated in the health program. Many factors affect the adoption of healthy lifestyle behaviors. Therefore, it would be beneficial to organize training on this subject during university period
