Özet:
(AI):
Power distribution system dependability must be ensured, necessitating a robust protection plan. The efficient coordination of directed overcurrent relays is crucial for reliable system operation since distribution network malfunctions are inevitable. In this research, a new adaptive protection coordination method based on the relay’s observed equivalent impedance (EI) is presented. By employing clustering approaches to identify and rectify mis-coordinated relay pairs, a feature that has frequently been disregarded in prior research—this method tackles the widespread issue of relay mis-coordination. The plan aims to address problems with primary and backup relay synchronization. Relay coordination and operating times were significantly improved when the technology was validated on updated IEEE 14-bus systems. The suggested strategy optimizes the operating periods for both primary and backup relays, removing coordination constraint violations that are typical of standard relay setups, according to analytical and simulation results. Compared to traditional techniques, this adaptive protection approach offers a more dependable and effective means of preserving the integrity of the power distribution system.
