A group of people, by doing business divisions, under the hierarchy of authority and responsibility, is a reasonable and planned structure that they create to a defined common goal.Today, organizations need employees who contribute beyond their tasks against the organization they work. The developments have led to the increased interest of researchers in working behaviors that are not included in the classical definitions of tasks of employees, but have a significant impact on the long-term organizational success (Jordan and Sevastos, 2003:131).The organizational commitment used in connection with an organization is defined as the individual's belief and acceptance of the organization's objectives, the organization's efforts to its objectives and the organization's wish to continue its membership (Hunt and Morgan, 1994:26).According to this recognition, there are three basic indicators of organizational commitment: 1. acceptance of the objectives and values of the organization and very close connection to them, 2. effort to the objectives of the organization, and 3. a strong desire to remain a member of the organization (mowday vd., 1982:27).The organizational citizenship behavior, defined by the body (1997:90) as "good military behavior"; includes timely completion of assigned tasks, helping their colleagues, being open to innovations, voluntarily participating in activities and performing social behaviors, as well as avoiding unnecessary behaviors such as discussing with their colleagues, complaining them and finding their mistakes (turnipseed, 2002:3).by podsakoff vd.The behavior of organizational citizenship is defined as behavior which is not mandatory in the definitions of the business, which does not require a punishment in the absence or which is not directly and formally rewarded in the reward system when performed, and which is more dependent on personal preferences and aimed at increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of the organization as a whole.Graham (2000:70) is defined as “all positive behaviors of all members of the organization.”The individual performance of the employee is that he performs the work he performs in accordance with his own business definition within acceptable limits.Institutions aim to reveal corporate synergies by improving both their individual and team performance (armstrong, 1996:261).The employee establishes a link between the rewards he receives in return for his performance.Because if the prizes he receives are small, the performance will fall, and if he believes that the prize he receives is fair, the performance level will increase (avant vd., 1975:207).The national and international literary scan for the variables used in the research and the structural equality model has suggested a structural equality model where the relationship between the performance of the organizational citizenship behavior and the employee behavior, which is from the individual behavior variables, and the corporate behavior variables, is discussed together. The objective of the study is (1) to study the 669 effects of organizational commitment on the performance of employees; (2) to investigate the impact of organizational citizenship behavior on the performance of employees; (3) to verify the impact of organizational citizenship behavior on organizational commitment; (4) to investigate the mediation effect of organizational commitment in the relationship between organizational citizenship behavior and the performance of employees. This study supports the hypothesis that the organizational commitment of the bank employees affects their performance in a positive direction. It is also seen that organizational citizenship behavior directly affects the performance of employees in a positive direction. However, with the use of the instrument of organizational commitment as a variable, the conclusion is that organizational citizenship behavior has a positive impact on the performance of the employee. The strength of the effect accepted in this study has also increased the strength of the mediation effect.
