In our country where the employment of the young population has vital importance, the participation and strengthening of the young and the economic and social life as entrepreneurs constitute a vital basis for the economic development of our country. The aim of this research is to examine the entrepreneurship traits and personality traits of young entrepreneurs in Iğdır province while at the same time examining the effect of entrepreneurship training on establishing their own business. The method of research is designed both quantitative and qualitative research. The data were collected through primary (survey, interview) data sources. In order to determine the personality traits of young entrepreneurs, Gürol and Atsan (2006) '40 questionnaire was used and six entrepreneurial personality traits which are named as self confidence, creativity, focus of control, tolerance against uncertainty, risk taking and achievement were taken into account. In addition, information on the stories of young entrepreneurs has been obtained through interview. In the study, some young entrepreneurs in the province were informed about entrepreneurship stories, entrepreneurial personality traits, difficulties they experienced, economic contributions, education they had received, and the effects of their establishment on the initiative of these trainings.
