The preschool period, covering 3-6 ages, is one of the most critical periods of life due to its impact on the development and development of personality, basic knowledge, skills and habits.considering all these characteristics of the preschool period, stimulating environment, family, presented toys, children's environment, educational materials, kindergartens, school, friends and adults are very important tools in terms of making the child an adult and laying the foundations for his / her personality.According to townsend, violence is very common in the world and it begins in pre-school and intensifies in adolescence.Children learn violence from older children, parents, television and media.Even if the level of violence is mild, constant exposure to this violence can be quite traumatic for children (Ross, 2002).In this context, it is possible to say that pre-school children are also at risk and this group should not be ignored in studies on violence.The aim of this study is to investigate the violence of children in pre-school period (3-6 years) in terms of various variables.The study examined whether the levels of violence in children differ according to some variables (gender, age, mother education status, income level of the family, family structure).The study group consists of 81 children and their mothers attending two preschools in the devili district of Kayseri in 2017. the children’s violence exposure levels (witness and victimization) were collected with the “violence exposure scale” (cetinkaya star and hatipoglu sumer, 2010).for the collection of data on personal variables, a "personal data form" prepared by the researcher was used.In addition to descriptive statistics in the analysis of data, the t-test applied to independent groups was applied to determine whether the levels of solitude differed according to variables, and the one-way variance analysis was applied.The study found that children’s exposure to violence differs significantly from gender, family structure and mother education levels.
