16449) in the human rights, citizenship and democracy course the word is the test of value analysis by means of an anilan shengul s. anagün zeynep kiliç old·shahi·r osmangazi·unni.The old r. osmangazi.The old r. osmangazi.With the phenomenon of globalization, individual and social relationships have become complex due to scientific, technological, economic, political, social and cultural changes.In this process, individuals can live in peace and peace, participate in the economic, social and political life in confidence, value and respect each other can be secured by the consciousness of democracy, human rights and citizenship.In democracies, sovereignty belongs to the people and represents the order in which human rights are realized.The human rights are the rights that man has because he is only a human, without regard to the variables of religion, language, race, culture, gender, etc.The citizenship is used to be a member of the state that represents the nation in which it lives.Education is one of the most important factors in the life of democracy, the use of human rights by individuals and the possession of an effective awareness of citizenship.It is therefore important that students from young age gain knowledge, skills and values about democracy, human rights and citizenship.In this context, different educational policies are developed in the countries in respect of human rights, citizenship, purpose, content and form of education.There are different practices in Turkey related to democracy and citizenship education.Under these practices, the courses related to democracy and citizenship education have been included in the "citizenship education", "citizenship and human rights education", "citizenship and democracy education" with the names of high school, secondary education programs.On March 30, 2012, a new law on the gradual transition was established, with a new decision, in the fourth class, two hours of lessons per week under the title “Human rights, citizenship and democracy”.The main objective of this course is to provide students with fundamental values related to human rights, citizenship and democracy and to ensure that students make these values a way of life.This course includes subjects such as human centralization, active citizenship, peace, reconciliation, multiplication, co-life, diversity, the superiority of law.These issues emphasize values such as justice, equality, responsibility, peace and reconciliation, respect for differences, and freedom.Therefore, it is important that students acquire human rights, democracy and citizenship, citizenship skills, concepts and values in this course.The human rights, citizenship and democracy courses can be understood by different methods and techniques that students gain skills, concepts and values.One of these methods and techniques is the word linking test.The word-related test is a technique that concrete the student’s cognitive structure and the connections between the concepts in this structure, allowing to determine whether the relationships in the framework of the concepts in long-term memory are sufficient and meaningful.The word-related test consists of the process of writing the concepts that a key concept given to a subject in a certain period of time is brought to mind by the student.In other words, the word association test and the scheme in the student’s cognitive structure related to the concept appear concrete.The word-related test is often used to reveal the student’s cognitive structures, identify conceptual errors and see conceptual changes.
