Website and Twitter Usage in Public Relations Activities of Public Institutions: The Case of Trnc Presidency The methods and tools used in public relations activities are changing in parallel with the development of communication technologies. Today, with the emergence of new communication technologies that enable users to exchange information and views, public relations activities have shifted to especially online tools and websites. Within this scope, digital marketing, online public relations, viral communication become very important activities of public relations specially for crisis management, corporate image, corporate identity, promotion, information, etc. The aim of this study is to examine the usage of websites and twitter as mediums of public relations activities carried by public institutions in the case of TRNC Presidency. In addition, this study aims to reveal the shortcomings of the public institutions usage of the websites and twitter for informing the public and obtaining information about their wishes and opinions. Furthermore, proposals will be made to make the website and twitter usage in public relations activities more effective. In the direction of the goals of our study, firstly a literature review will be conducted and basic concepts will be defined . Then, the conceptual framework of the study will be established on the direction of data gathered from examining the usage of internet, websites and twitter in public relations and especially the applications of public institutions in this field. In this study, content analysis will be conducted to official website and twitter accounts of the TRNC Presidency, and written, audiovisual and visual materials will be systematically analyzed. The official website and twitter account will be analyzed by considering "accessibility to the site", "overview", "ease of use", "recognition", "introduction", "contact information", "contents of messages" and "time distribution of messages". At the end of the study, the data obtained as a result of literature review and content analysis will be analyzed and interpreted in a systemic way.
