The art of miniature, which is widespread in many different cultures such as the Middle East, Central Asia, China, India, Iran and Turkey, is a book art that is made in a very fine and detailed way, describing what the text writers write in manuscript books with pictures. This art was used in the past as the narrative language of books and manuscripts. Miniature art, which is very common in Turkey, is recognised as cultural heritage. At the same time, it has been accepted by Unesco as "Multinational Art" in the heritage list. Contemporary miniature artists blend traditional techniques with new techniques and produce works that are unique to the present day and tell our cultural values. The works worked in this way transfer our values to future generations by using the beauty of traditional miniature art. Today, especially in our country, there are many artists who devote their hearts to miniature art, one of the traditional arts. The determinations made on the art of miniature with Nurten Ünver, who laboured in this art in Ankara and trained many students, are important in order to contribute to the art of miniature. The interview on the techniques created on behalf of contemporary miniature and their contribution to art education through the eyes of our teacher, who spent more than thirty years with traditional arts and made very valuable studies on this subject, is considered as an important evaluation. In this context, the interview on the stage at which the understanding of the formation of today's style in traditional arts is at for miniature, the level of the position of today's miniatures in this sense and the care that should be taken to give the necessary importance to education has been evaluated through the determinations of Nurten Ünver. The aim of the interview is to introduce the works and ideas of the artist and to try to understand how the artist applies his art. The scope of the interview includes the artist's life, art career, works, ideas, sources of inspiration and evaluations about the future of miniature art. In addition, determinations and suggestions about the inclusion of traditional arts in academic disciplines and studies on the contribution of studies carried out in this sense to the art of miniature are included.
