Özet Türk-İslam kültürünün en önemli örneklerinden olan Kutadgu Bilig, fikir ve sanat hakkında önemli bilgiler vermektedir. Türk toplumun hem teşkilatı bakımından hem de fikir hayatı bakımından çok önemli bir dönemin aynası olan bu eser Türk toplumunun hayat bilgisine çok mühim noktalar kazandırmıştır. Yusuf Has Hacib bu eserinde Türk dili ve edebiyatı dışında toplum yapısı, tarihi, kültür ve ahlaki yönleri aydınlatacak birçok noktaya ışık tutmuştur. Eserin Türk tarihi açısında çok mühim bir tarihte yazılması değerini daha da arttırmaktadır. Bu bağlamda bakıldığında "bilgi" kavramlarından yola çıkarak eserde ne sıklıkla vurgulamıştır.
