Mythology, legend and history are among the important sources of application for the way the poet is processed in the classical poem, for the contribution of the poet to the imaginary world and the style of the poet, for the poetry.The classical poets, in particular because they took the example of Fars culture and literature, used in their poems the historical, mythological and legendary persons or assets of this culture.But the Arab, Indian, Chinese, and even a few historical and legendary persons or beings of Greek culture have also been referred to in their poems.Thus, they continued the tradition and tried to catch the original expressions in the poem.Everything about different religions and beliefs, including Islam, can be the material of classical poetry.Thus, the prophets and religions who represent the Islamic faith, mutasavvifs, are called in the classical poetry for various purposes.Through this, the purpose of the poets is to acknowledge the faith of Tasavvuf or to better describe the beauty elements of his lover or the forms of light.The Nev’i divan we study in this study is a material that is quite rich in religious, historical, mythological and legendary persons or beings.It is also important to see how these materials are formed and used from the imagination world of the poet, in addition to the quantity of the poems.This person or motives enrich the imaginary world of Nev'i and give his poem new meaningful, formal openings.As Nev'i gives clues about the poetry ability, it also provides information about the cultural wealth of classical Turkish poetry.Thus, identifying how and to what extent the symbol of all kinds of religion and culture is used by a famous poet, the newyer, in a period in which the classic literature is the peak of the presumed personalities, will make the poet's art and literature of that period better evaluated.Keywords: classical Turkish poetry, mythology, din-tasavvuf, divan, persons
