Effective communication of the mother with her child, spending quality time together and making physical contact increases the happiness of the child. In this study, it is aimed to examine the strategies of mothers who have pre-school children to make their children happy in terms of various variables. The research is in screening model. The sample of the study, between ages 1-5 living in different cities of Turkey constitutes 300 mothers with a child. The data of the study was collected in February 2019 in electronic environment. The mothers known to have children between 1-5 years of age were informed about the aim of the study. Mothers who volunteered to participate were asked to complete the online scales. The data of the study was collected through the General Information Form, which was prepared to determine the personal information of mothers and their children, and the Happiness Enhancing Strategies Determination Scale used by the mothers (Eryılmaz ve Sapsağlam, 2018). The scale consists of 4 factors and 12 items. As a result of the research, it was determined that the strategies used by the mothers to increase the happiness of their children were high. In addition, it was concluded that mothers' education level, number of children, income levels, and pre-school education of children affect the strategies used to increase children's happiness. On the other hand, it was found that mothers' strategies to make their children happy did not differ significantly depending on the age of the mother, working status of the mother and the gender of the child.
