Fats are one of the essential nutrients that have vital value in human nutrition, such as proteins and carbohydrates and have an important role in carrying out their vital activities. They have many functions in the metabolism.Although the main energy source of our body are carbohydrates, fat is also the main energy source of various organs. The energy value of 1 g of oil is 9.3 calories, and a healthy person should consume 65 grams of fat per day. This indicates that a person should consume approximately 24 kg of fat per year. But in our country, our annual individual plant oil consumption is 18 kg above the world average (14.8 kg).The annual consumption of plant oil per person in the EU countries is 19.2 kg and in the United States 27.8 kg.When assessed the figures, our oil consumption is quite low compared to the developed countries (anonymous 2019a).The most produced and traded fatty seeds in the world as the primary food for humans are soya beans (glycine max.L.), colza/kanola (brassica napus oleifera l.), cotton grain (gossypium hirsitum l.), helianthus annuus l.), land grain (arachis hypogaea l), palm nuts (elaeis guineensis l.), coconut (cocos nucifera l.), susam seed (sesamum indicum l) and keten seed (linum usitatissimum l).Although not included in the class of fatty seed plants, Egypt (zea mays l.)The oil extracted from its essence is also one of the important vegetable oils that are consumed in our country, if necessary in the world. However, the most important of the fatty seed plants in terms of the production area, if necessary, industrial use, are soya, colza, cotton grape and peanut butter.Turkey has a wide production potential to grow many oil plants according to its climate characteristics.Although Turkey has the potential to produce a large number of fat seed plants in terms of its ecological conditions, it has become an externally dependent country in vegetable oil and fat seed, which has a strategic importance in the country’s economy, due to the faulty and unconforming agricultural policies that have been implemented for years (Wake and Black, 2011; aircraft and other, 2017a; aircraft and other, 2017b).All regions except the eastern Black Sea region and the high-number areas of the eastern Anatolia are a great potential for the production of peanut butter, moderate and hydrated areas for the production of soya, peanut butter, dried and peanut butter, while cold and dry areas are a great potential for the production of colza/kanola, aspirin and oil keten. In addition to the southern coast line and gap area II.It has a good climate to cultivate. In this study, the gap region specifically discussed the possible solutions proposals by analysing the problems faced by the projecting of the oil and vegetable oil sector in the world and our country.Oil seeds are evaluated by the swot analysis of the agriculture and oil sector: gap area; example; 21
