Summary: Turkey has 77 of the 90 mining varieties in global trade and is ranked 10th in terms of mining diversity.Turkey is ranked 28th among 132 countries with total mining production value, while Turkey has 74% of the total bor reserves in the world.The Turkish mining sector has an export target of $15 billion for 2023.To this goal, it is necessary to develop a new model that we export as raw materials and import as processed products instead of add-on value to the product and is based on efficiency in production.The mining sector has the characteristic of being the sector in which energy is most widely used.Therefore, increasing efficiency in the sector will contribute to the reduction of energy dependency and the protection of the environment, in addition to increasing the competitiveness of the sector.This study has been researched on improvements in energy efficiency in the mining sector.For this purpose, energy efficiency projects in industrial organizations have been addressed, information about the amount of savings for projects, the financial reward of savings, the amount of investment and the reimbursement periods have been shared.Keywords: mining industry and energy, energy efficiency, energy savings, energy etud, global warming
