This study aims to identify the need for psychosocial support in pre-hospital emergency health services and to reveal the need for integration of medical social services in pre-hospital health services in health services in response to this need.Pre-hospital emergency health services include that people in need of emergency care are transported to the hospital in a safe manner by first intervention. In recent years, the growth of the pre-hospital emergency health service network, the number of ambulance and staff increasing day by day, is seen as an important parameter of development for emergency health services. The development and growth of this system will lead to the diversity of the problems that service users and staff experience, adding applications only due to the need for physical treatment to the applications due to the need for psychosocial support. In reports to the 112 emergency call center, calls that occur depending on psychosocial factors such as the feeling of loneliness, the desire or need to connect with social institutions, the fear of death, the desire to socialize, alcoholism, repeated suicide attempts are also increasing on a daily basis. This situation creates a substantial pressure and burden on pre-hospital emergency health services without a structured service model that will respond to the need for psychosocial support. In this context, it is necessary to establish a medical social service intervention system where social services practices focus on the provision of individual social functionality are included in pre-hospital emergency health services. This intervention system will provide both the psychosocial support they need for the ambulance workers who are constantly exposed to traumatic events, and the satisfaction of the psychosocial needs of the service users who are in emergency call due to psychosocial reasons and therefore the prevention of unnecessary calls. Keywords: pre-hospital emergency health, medical social service, psychosocial support.
