and xix.The social, political and economic developments in Europe in the second half of the century were influential in the fields of science, philosophy and art, while in literature, realism and naturalism were found.Naturealism, a flow of French origin, has not been born as a reaction to the stream of realism, but, on the contrary, has brought this stream further and has given a new dimension to the subjects that have not been processed in the literary field so far.With this flow, the wicked aspects of life and the conditions of life within the subclasses are depicted with all the details.Nevertheless, in Spain, naturalism, which is the mark of the ugly literature because life reflects only the bad facts, has also been seen as an advance of literature by giving new and different products.This study will explore how the flux of naturalism, which has caused major discussions in Spain, has been written in many newspapers and discussed in conferences, and what reactions it has caused.While the social, political and economic developments that emerged in Europe in the second half of the sixth century were influential in the field of science, philosophy and art, the currents of realism and naturalism are encountered in literature.Naturalism, a French-original movement, was not born as a reaction to the current of realism but on the contrary it took this current further and gave a new dimension to the unprocessed issues in literature until that time.along with this movement, the ugly aspects of life and the living conditions of the lower classes are depicted with all the details.However, naturalism, which is a sign of ugly literature in Spain because it reflects only the bad facts of life, has been seen as a development that opens up the front of literature by giving new and different products.this study is going to analyze how naturalism movementwhich led to great discussions in Spanish literature as wellas being discussed in many conferences and about which a number of newspaper articles were penned, was met and what kind of reactions it aroused.
