Democracy means public administration. It expresses the indispensable form of political governance of today's modern states. As in all political structures, there are some problems in democracy. Perhaps the most problematic area in the period since democracy gained importance is representation. The existence of a structure that is far from democracy, especially with regard to women's representation, also questions the entire political system. Therefore, states implement various policies to eliminate the problem of women's representation. However, the patriarchal structure that settles in society and cultural barriers to the development of women make it difficult to implement in their policies. Politics and women, which have diametrically opposed structures in terms of social perception, are of course also a problematic issue in the literature. In this study, the problem of women representation in political life will be discussed. Purpose of the study; lack of effective representation power despite the increase in the proportion of women entering the political arena in Turkey and is in a narrow bezel to reveal the positioning of women in the political sphere. Two methods will be used to do this. The first one will examine the literature on the subject of women's representation and the other will examine the level of representation of women MPs in the context of the Republican People's Party.
