The subject of religious education and teaching assessed in the context of fundamental human rights in the framework of religion and freedom of conscience, in some countries because of secularity and education is not included in the education system, while in some countries this course is among the eligible courses, and in some countries, among the mandatory courses. In this regard, the differences between countries in religious education and teaching show that each country cannot be united in a common point as a result of its political, social and cultural history and differences in its needs. There are different approaches to religious education and teaching.Almost all fundamental human rights documents revealed since the world war appear to include freedom of religion and conscience. These documents signed by Turkey also give us some clues about how religious education and teaching should be done in the context of religious and conscientious freedom. The United Nations Convention on Human Rights, the United Nations Convention on Human Rights, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Convention on Civil and Political Rights, the Convention on the Prohibition of All Forms of Discrimination Based on Religion and Religion, and the other United Nations Convention on Religious Education and Teaching, in particular, have a decisive role in the discussions on which legal ground and how the relevant issue should be carried out in Turkey. Therefore, in Turkey, in order to resolve the discussions in this direction by consensus, it is necessary to identify the freedom of religion and conscience expressed in the international fundamental human rights texts and the place of religious education and teaching in this context. In this Communication we will discuss the European Convention on Human Rights, which is binding internationally, and the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Based on Religion and Religion in terms of Religion and Freedom of Consciousness and Religious Education.
