High School Knowledge Teachers' Opinions On Stem Education

The purpose of this research is to study the opinions of the teachers of sciences who experience the stem approach for the first time.In the study, one of the quality research methods (examples of event) was used.The study was attended by three teachers of science who worked in two different high schools in the district of Khrushchev.In the research, the data was collected using semi-configured interviews.The data collected was analyzed by content analysis.What are the opinions of the teachers of the Middle School of Science on stem practices?Answer to the research form.According to the findings obtained in the interview, teachers have a positive perception of the stem approach.Teachers have ideas such as supporting the development of character in the student towards the advantages of stem education, raising responsibility awareness, ensuring the formation of scientific identity and facilitating learning.The disadvantages of this new approach have noted that teachers are inadequate in this subject.When the teachers of stem education are examined the problems they experience, they indicate that they are faced with physical capabilities and, in addition, the teachers and students are faced with deficiencies.Teachers have often pointed out that teachers-oriented professional development should be provided to overcome these problems.As a result, the external problems that teachers face during the stem training process do not affect their positive perceptions of stem education.Despite these disadvantages, teachers advise that professional development should be supported in order to overcome the problems.
