Development and transition from the existing process to another process is an inseparable part from the existence of the human phenomenon to this period. Life conditions affect this process of change and development. The first five or six years of preschool children are crucial for the physical, social, emotional and intellectual development of children. This is a basic stage of life. Preschool periods before normal education have shown that individuals affect the whole of their lives: basic knowledge, basic facts, skills and abilities play an important role in the process of self-existence. This phase, which we call pre-school period, is considered one of the most critical periods of life. Art has always been included in individuals and societies as a concept that is only interested by artists. However, aesthetic values emerge early in life by paying attention to artistic activities. Therefore, art education has an important role in early childhood. Art education in preschool children includes activities that support the development and creativity of the child. From a cognitive and broad perspective, an art education program changes people's understanding of aesthetics and art. It encourages them to be more creative, confident and productive, ready to realize their potential skills and positively influence their social communities. Preschool children are engaged in artistic activities such as painting, sculpture, music, song, dramatic play and dance in order to develop their talents, and they are engaged in many activities in order to get to know the art and carry it to their games or lives as a human impulse. Physical and sensory participation of preschool children in artistic activities is a very valuable and meaningful experience in terms of identity gains in adulthood, and the ability to know how to influence other individuals by using every field of art is a form of self-expression for individuals. This study examines the effect of Preschool Art Education Program on the attention skills of children aged 4-5 years.
