TRAVEL AGENCIES’ SERVICE FAILURE AND SERVICE RECOVERIES

Service is a difficult action due to its characteristics. Fulfilling customers’ expectations or providing a service different from the promised one is considered a service failure. In today’s world, where competition and customer satisfaction have a very important place in business, the companies try to avoid these service failures, but service failure is inevitable. It is of great importance that these service failures are recovery quickly and accurately. It is also possible to encounter service failures for travel agencies, which are an important part of the service industry. Travel agencies, which offer many services such as accommodation, food and beverage and transfer, aim to provide perfect and compatible service. It is seen that travel agencies that combine more than one such service type also encounter service failures. In this section, the service failures encountered by travel agencies and their compensations are examined.
