Özet:
Türkiye'de kırdan kente göç konusu, nedenleri ve sonuçları ile birlikte ele alındığında, toplumu ve ekonomiyi önemli ölçüde ilgilendiren bir konu olduğu anlaşılmaktadır. Türkiye'de kırsal nüfus Cumhuriyet'ten günümüze çok hızlı bir değişim göstermiştir. İç göçler ilk başlarda kırdan kente doğru olurken daha sonraları küçük ve orta ölçekli şehirlerden büyük şehirlere olacak şekilde devam etmiştir. Göç edebilecek her bin kişi için net göç sayısını ifade eden net göç hızı rakamlarına bakıldığında, ortalama net göç hızı en fazla olan iller arasında Tokat -9,33 ile 18.sırada yer almaktadır .Net göç hızı rakamlarında negatif değere sahip olan Tokat'ın verdiği göçün aldığı göçten daha fazla olduğu görülmektedir. Bu durumda Tokat'ın hızlı bir şekilde başka şehirlere göç verdiği anlaşılmaktadır. Verimli tarım arazilerine sahip olduğu için önemli bir tarım şehri olan Tokat'ta kırsal nüfus ise hızla azalmaktadır. 2007 yılında kırsal nüfusun toplam nüfusa oranı % 43.47 iken yıllar itibariyle sürekli bir azalış göstererek 2019 yılında bu rakamın %35.52'ye kadar gerilediği görülmektedir.Bu çalışma da Tokat'ta kırsal yerleşim yerlerinden kentlere doğru gerçekleşen nüfus hareketlerini ifade eden iç göç hareketleri yıllar itibariyle incelenmiştir. Bu bağlamda Tokat ilinde ki göç hızı ve gerçekleşen göçün il nüfusunun cinsiyet, yaş grubu ve eğitim durumu açısından eğilimleri ortaya konulmuştur. Ayrıca, bu eğilimin en fazla hangi bölgelere doğru gerçekleştiği ve yıllar bazında nasıl bir değişiklik olduğu belirlenmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda Tokat ilinden İstanbul ve Ankara illerine yoğun olarak iç göçlerin yaşandığı, göç edenlerin eğitim durumlarının en çok lise ve dengi meslek okulları olduğu ve cinsiyetlerinin erkek olduğu görülmüştür.
