The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between the organizational liabilities of employees in the banking sector and the work performance.For this purpose, a research was carried out on 151 employees of a private bank with branch in the sea center and districts.The necessary data is collected using the survey technique.The used survey form includes the three-dimensional (emotional commitment, continued commitment and normative commitment) scale of organizational commitment developed by Allen and Meyer (1990) and the one-dimensional work performance scale developed by Kirkman and Rosen (1999).Factor analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis have been used for the analysis of data.The analysis of the factors found that the scale of organizational commitment had a three-factor structure according to the literature.The correlation analysis conducted in order to reveal the direction and quantity of the relationship between the variables has determined that there is a positive and meaningful relationship between emotional commitment and normative commitment and work performance.Between continued commitment and work performance, there was again a middle-level but negative relationship.Finally, the regression analysis conducted in order to determine whether the organizational commitment significantly affects the performance of the work was determined that the organizational commitment was an important contributor to the performance of the work.
