THE EFFECT OF TEACHING THE SUBJECT OF PERCENTAGES BY CLUSTERSUPPORTED INDIVIDUALIZATION TECHNIQUE ON SUCCESS AND 21st CENTURY SKILLS
In this study, the effect of teaching the subject of percentages with cluster-assisted individualization technique, which is one of the cooperative learning methods, on success and 21st century skills was investigated. Experimental method, one of the quantitative research designs, was used in the research. The data of the study were conducted with 7th grade students (16 girls, 10 boys) without a control group, as a pre-test-post-test in a secondary school affiliated to National Education in Zonguldak province in 2022. Daily lesson plans have been prepared in accordance with the achievements of each week. The study lasted for 4 weeks and was applied as 5 lesson hours each week. The work was completed within the planned time and no additional time was needed. The data were collected with the validity and reliability test developed by the researcher and the "21st Century Skills Scale for Secondary School Students" developed by Mete (2021). SPSS package program was used in the analysis of the data. Since the data of the achievement test were not normally distributed, they were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. According to the results of the analysis, it was seen that the mathematics success of the course taught with the cluster-assisted individualization technique increased. Since the data obtained from the 21st century skill scale were normally distributed, the T test was used in the analysis. According to the t-test analysis results, it can be said that the teaching has a positive effect on 21st century skills. Looking at these results, it is seen that the study increased both the success and the 21st century scores of the students.
