EXAMINATION OF THE CAUSES OF ETHICAL PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED OF NURSES MANAGERS WITH THE FISHBONE METHOD
The ethical problem includes ethical principles and values that show what is good and what is right in matters that require moral solutions. Nurse managers should manage nursing services effectively and efficiently in order to provide quality nursing services to the community. However, nurse managers may encounter ethical problems while solving problems such as constantly changing procedures, uncertainties in job descriptions, budget constraints, lack of participation in decisions and lack of delegation of authority, conflict and lack of supervision. In this respect, nurse managers need to identify, discuss and know how to approach the solution of ethical problems in nursing services. Fishbone method is a method used to identify the causes of the identified problem. With this method, an organized and effective problem solving process is developed, all the causes of the problem can be explained, brainstorming and new ideas are facilitated, and experienced experts are utilized. In this study, it was tried to determine the causes of ethical problems encountered in nursing service by using the fishbone diagram, which also called cause-effect analysis, and to emphasize the need to have an ethical organizational culture in the institution and to implement ethical education programs actively as solution suggestions for these problems.
