This work is aimed at showing the effects of these works created by the artists on the subject of social problems in their works.Within the framework of the limitations of the work, because the examples from all the art flows will not be given, the examples are placed in the categories of primary art, Egyptian art, Renaissance works, cobbism, pop art and performance art, the basis of the research is how social problems in different periods are included in the art works and the function of these works on society.When the social function of art is questioned, it appears that the works of art have influences on societies, such as guidance, transmission of information, questioning and ensuring cultural continuity.A work of art carries many traces from the social and economic conditions of the society of the time in which it was created and the society in which it lived, to the culture of this society.From the past to the present, when we look at what topics are addressed in the works of art, we reach a comprehensive conclusion.Against social problems, the artists reflect their views on their works, activating the questioning nature of art, aimed at increasing sensitivity in society.In the works of the war period, the feeling of the psychological and physical destruction of their societies, whether technical or formally necessary, is one of the examples that can be given.The works created to shape the views of communities about the faith and to emphasize the glory of this feeling have also aimed at guiding and informing the society about the faith, which is part of the culture, as a social responsibility.In different periods, with the works created in different art flows, this goal has addressed many factors that influence the culture of societies.The fact that these periodic differences have occurred and that these differences have continued until today, shows the extent of art’s interaction with culture.Artistic sensitivity is the most important factor in the reflection of social responsibility to artistic works.While the subjects and disciplines change, the artist is always free and questions.From the past to the present, the performance of artwork with the consciousness of social responsibility shows differences according to the art flows and the artists.Even in the works that begin with the art works of the first period, continuing with different art flows and showing structural differences with the influence of technological possibilities in the postmodern process, it appears that the questioning effects of the works created on societies are continuing.The art, the subject of social problems, also included in the manifestations of some art flows, the artists in these processes have created questioning works for what art is for.The works in which social responsibility is involved in artwork are not collected in a single category, except in painting art; the works created in disciplines such as sculpture, photography, graphic design and architecture have also been processed.Some artists aiming to make the interaction between the artwork and the audience a stronger and more effective event, rather than communicating the social message with a permanent artwork, prefer to show their work to increase social responsibility as a performance art, live in front of the audience.The involvement of social responsibility in artwork is a reflection of the original style of the artist and the consciousness of social responsibility.These studies, societies, to think and 1 lesson.I see t.c.
