Özet Bu çalışmada müdürlerin ortaöğretim kurumlarında okul imajının oluşumunda üstlendikleri rollere ilişkin öğretmen ve yönetici görüşlerinin ortaya konması amaçlanmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın yapılandırılmasında nitel araştırma yaklaşımı benimsenmiştir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu amaçlı örnekleme yöntemine göre 2019-2020 eğitim -öğretim yılında, İzmir ili Buca ilçesindeki iki özel lise, iki Anadolu lisesi, bir meslek lisesi, bir fen lisesi, bir güzel sanatlar lisesi, bir imam hatip lisesi, bir sosyal bilimler lisesi, bir spor lisesi olmak üzere 10 okulda görev yapan yedi okul yöneticisi ve on yedi öğretmen oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın verileri yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu ile toplanmış ve yapılan betimsel içerik analizi sonucuna göre elde edilen bulgulardan bazıları şunlardır: Okulun başarısı, sahip olduğu özellikler ve öğretmen ile ilgili unsurlar okulun imajını belirleyen, etkileyen en önemli unsurlardır. Olumlu bir okul imajının oluşumunda öğretmenlerin önemli katkısının olduğu araştırma sonuçlarından bir diğeridir. Okul imajının oluşumunda katılımcılar yöneticilerin iletişim becerileri, mesleki beceri ve niteliklere sahip olması gerektiğini ifade etmişlerdir. Araştırmaya katılan öğretmenlerin görüşleri incelendiğinde genel olarak okullarına dair imaj algılarının olumlu olduğu söylenebilir. The aim of this study is to reveal the teachers and managers' opinions on the roles they take in the formation of the school image in the middle school institutions.The research approach was adopted in the structure of this study.According to the method of sample for the study group, 2019-2020 education-educational year, it consists of seven school managers and seven teachers who work in 10 schools, including two private high schools, two Anatolian high schools, a professional high school, a science high school, a beautiful arts high school, a Imam Hatip high school, a social sciences high school, a sports high school.Some of the findings obtained based on the results of the research data collected through a semi-configured form of interview and the visual content analysis made are: the school’s success, the characteristics it possesses and the elements related to the teacher are the most important elements that determine, influence the image of the school.It is another of the research results that teachers have contributed significantly to the formation of a positive school image.In the formation of the school image, participants expressed that managers should have communication skills, professional skills and qualifications.When the opinions of the teachers involved in the research are examined, it can be said that their image perceptions about their schools are generally positive.The majority of participants care about the image of the school they do.Keywords: master, school image, managing, managing opinions, teacher opinions
