Summary Geography is one of the basic disciplines that forms the social information course and is a field of social science that studies the mutual relations between man and nature.Nature and man are constantly interacting.Geography education that will be given to individuals has an important place in the continuation of this interaction in a positive direction.With the geographical skills that will be gained in this scope, students will be able to gain awareness of recognizing, preserving and developing nature by moving from their close surroundings.In this study, the 2018 social information curriculum (5.,6.,7.Class) is aimed at studying in terms of geographical skills and the demonstration of local geographical practices in the teaching of geographical skills.The data of the research is collected through document examination from the quality research methods, content analysis is used in the analysis of the obtained data.According to the research results, "Environmental literature, change and continuity perception, observation, map literature, use of evidence, location analysis, space perception, table, graphics and diagrams drawing and interpreting, time and chronology perception" is the geographical skills included in the social information curriculum.In the study, geographical skills and achievement relationships were interpreted in tables, a sample of local geographical activity that can be applied in the social information course for each of the defined geographical skills.It is believed that the study will contribute to the work done in the field of local geography, geographical skills and social information teachers' teaching practices.
