The mother tongue can be described as the languages or languages in which a person lives in the environment from birth to approximately youth period, which forms his perception and thinking tradition.As a person may not have experienced this process in a single language environment, his perception and thinking tradition can also consist of several languages, depending on this living environment.The title of our statement is "Information and habits in the teaching of Turkish to those who do not speak Turkish in their native language".That is, the teaching of Turkish as a foreign language, which has exceeded a certain level in the learning of the mother tongue, and the problems related to it.Soon we all have trouble learning a foreign language (English, French, Arabic, German, etc.) after learning our native language at a certain level.These are the difficulties that we experience when we are in the position of a student.And some of us have trouble teaching Turkish to those who do not speak Turkish - especially in countries where Turkish is not spoken.The books used when we try to learn a foreign language were always books built on grammatical teaching.Now when we look at the books we use when we try to teach Turkish, we see again the books and materials prepared by taking the grammatical teaching center.Since the use of linguistic materials in language teaching means facilitating language teaching, how true it is that linguistic knowledge is taken into such a center in language teaching and that language teaching is transformed into linguistic teaching.While we learned a lot of grammatics while learning a foreign language, we did not find a certain state of revival, comfortable understanding and comfortable expression in our minds.Now we see the same problem in our students when teaching Turkish.Many of the grammatics about Turkish are known, but their minds do not have enough resilience, comfortable understanding and the condition of expressing themselves.Even a doctor on Turkish - the mother tongue is not Turkish - some friends discuss the grammatical topics related to Turkish, we have trouble talking about it.Because they have gained a lot of knowledge about Turkish, grammatics, and have had a lot of knowledge, but they have trouble speaking Turkish with us because they can’t live Turkish enough in their own minds, they can’t understand us and express themselves conveniently.Even though there are many people who speak Turkish, they know much more about Turkish.The problem here is that the teaching of the language that we think will make learning Turkish easier through the form and becomes a goal.When we look at the materials related to the teaching of Turkish, another aspect that we encounter is the collection of information about Turkish and Turkish in these materials.Is the book we use a tourist guide about Turkey, a propaganda book about the regime of Turkey, or a promotional book about Turkey’s culture and traditions?The person who learns a language will already obtain some information about the country in which the language is spoken, about a set of traditions, traditions, cultures and history of the people who use that language.Thus, the person who learns Turkish will also have learned a set of information about the Turkish tradition, tradition, culture and history, about Turkey, in relation to interest and attention.It is not right as we put this information into our Turkish teaching materials as a propaganda is not right as it is also impeccable.For example, in books, materials, there are texts about the hospitality of the Turks.But when normal examples are given in life, people already understand whether it is hospitality, or anything else.During the use of these materials, we have not experienced the lack of people who are already interacting with propaganda and who are making propaganda.It’s like saying that I’m a good man, that I’m a good man.I think the most important of these difficulties is the difficulty in the use of the information acquired.The knowledge that is learned and acquired cannot gain a lifetime, it is very difficult to use.One of the reasons for these difficulties is enough of the words learned from the life.International World Language Turkish Symposium (16-18 December 2010; Zmir) 860
