EXAMINING TRENDS AND EMERGING TOPICS IN IMAGE PROCESSING USING CITESPACE
This study aims to analyze scientific publications in the field of image processing and reveal development trends in the area using CiteSpace software. Image processing holds critical importance in various domains such as medicine, defense, automotive, and agriculture, and it continues to evolve steadily. Bibliometric data obtained from the Web of Science database were analyzed in this study. Using CiteSpace, analyses such as keyword clustering and timesliced trend detection were conducted. As a result, the study provides insights into the most cited works, emerging research topics, and the structure of collaboration networks in the field of image processing. Additionally highlighted new and popular topics in the area. The findings indicate that topics such as deep learning, object detection, and medical image analysis have attracted significant attention in recent years. This study not only summarizes the existing literature for researchers but also identifies potential research gaps and new areas of study. Ultimately, it aims to serve as a guide for researchers working in this field.
