MUSIC THERAPY METHODS AND THEIR EFFECTS ON ADOLESCENTS
Adolescence is one of the most important growth stages of the transition to adulthood. During this period, since there is emotional turmoil during adolescence, it can be difficult to cope with socio-cultural difficulties such as school, family and friendships. This complexity manifests itself with factors such as feeling inadequacy, disconnection, anxiety, decreased motivation, introversion, and difficulty in managing stress. Music, one of the most important building blocks of phonetic art forms, allows people to express their aesthetic experiences through sound and rhythm, which separates them from each other.Music feeds creativity through stages such as listening-playing-writing-voicing. Music Therapy, a branch of science, aims to provide physical and mental benefits with the resulting musical products. Different therapeutic uses on adolescents are extremely analyzes in terms of relaxation, connections, acceptance and perspective in this difficult process. Music Therapy solutions made on adolescents within the scope of this study. Applications include book chapters and articles that include group and individual music therapy sessions. The sources were accessed by scanning method. Mental disorders, physical disabilities, frequency of use with disorders, school incompatibility, sexual abuse, etc. have been examined in the early stages. The vast majority of these studies have been conducted abroad. There are very few Music Therapy applications that have been studied on this important subject. In addition, certain findings have been reached within the scope of the studies that have been conducted and these findings have been explained in tables. As a result, various suggestions are made.
