Özet:
(AI):
This paper aims to explore the interface between ecological management and the legal framework governing the use of forest resources. The study focuses on assessing existing legal regimes, their effectiveness in promoting sustainable forest management, and the ecological implications of these laws. Methodology: A mixed-methods approach will be used, combining qualitative analysis of legal texts and policies with quantitative assessments of forest health indicators in different regions. Case studies from countries with different legal frameworks will be analysed to identify best practices and gaps in current legislation. Surveys and interviews with local communities and environmental NGOs, will provide additional insights into the practical implications of these laws. Expected results: The research is expected to provide a comprehensive understanding of how legal frameworks can enhance or hinder environmental governance in forest management. It aims to provide actionable recommendations for policy makers to strengthen legal protection of forests while ensuring equitable access to resources for local communities. Findings: Preliminary findings indicate that while many countries have established robust legal frameworks for sustainable forest management, enforcement remains a significant challenge. Issues such as illegal logging, lack of community involvement in decision-making and inadequate monitoring systems undermine environmental goals. In addition, successful models show that integrating local knowledge and community rights into legal frameworks significantly improves conservation outcomes.
