THE ROLE AND IMPORTANCE OF METHODOLOGY IN THE ANALYSIS OF THE IMPACT OF RISK ON FINANCIAL DECISION-MAKING

The transformation of knowledge and understanding of phenomena is now considered indepth research and a completely demanding process. In the broad spectrum of research and beyond, 4 different types of research are classified. Descriptive research, which is distinguished by its descriptive character, of a certain phenomenon, which is under study. Secondly, we have exploratory research, which wants to highlight new explorations or studies, but which do not delve into the actual validation of a theory. Third, we have explanatory and demonstrative research, which has as its main goal the analysis of a single theory and the extraction of a general result. Fourth, we have evaluation research, which evaluates a project in every cell of its creation. In the field of business and finance, we cannot say that a preferred method has been positioned. From the methodological point of view, for this study, the case method has been selected to be applied, where companies that have had fluctuations due to financial risks will be supervised. The main purpose of this paper is to determine the right method for risk identification and its direct impact on the financial decision-making of businesses.
