Soli Pompeiopolis is an important ancient port city. It is on the Plain Cilicia (Cilicia Pedias) and Rough Cilicia (Cilicia Tracheia) border area but located in the Plain Cilicia region. During the archaeological excavations of the city, Roman and Late Roman red slip ware groups have unearthed from the Colonnaded Street, the Necropolis and the Soli Mound sectors. Identified groups are Italian Sigillatas, Sagalassos Red Slip Ware, Eastern Sigillata A, B, C, D groups of Roman Red Slip Ware and Late Roman C Ware (Phocaean Red Slip Ware), African Red Slip Ware, Late Roman D Ware (Cypriot Red Slip Ware) of Late Roman Red Slip Ware. Within the scope of this study, Late Roman D ware -a subgroup of Late Roman Red Slip Ware- finds of the 1999-2019 excavations of Colonnaded Street, Necropolis and Soli Mound are evaluated. The group in question was named as Late Roman D by Waage, who evaluated Antiokheia ad Orontes ceramics. Based on the similarities between this group, produced in several production centers, and particularly the Eastern Sigillata D (Cypriot Sigillata), Hayes suggested that they were of Cypriot origin and he named the group as Cypriot Red Slip Ware. Although the typology of Hayes in his publication is still valid today, new forms have been added to his typology as a result of different and current studies after his publication. Although this group, which is produced and used from the end of the 4th century AD to the end of the 7th century AD, is not as common as the African Red Slip Ware and the Late Roman C Ware (Phocaean Red Slip Ware), it was still used intensively especially in the Mediterranean Basin, In fact, it became a serious competitor of African Red Slip Ware and the Late Roman C Ware in the Mediterranean Basin. Among the Late Roman Red Slip Ware finds from Soli Pompeiopolis, the richest group after the Late Roman C Ware and the African Red Slip Ware is the Late Roman D. In this study, the form repertoire of the group is generally evaluated depending on the typology of Hayes. One form which isn’t in that typology is evaluated depending on the typology of Meyza. All of the detected forms are plates, bowls and basin used in food service. The Late Roman D finds from Soli Pompeiopolis are dated between the late 4th century AD to the 7th century AD.
