Social media, which is used effectively in every aspect of daily life, can be defined as new media environments that arise due to the development of communication technologies. When evaluated in the context of communication technologies, the influence of internet on interactive communication, which offers information accessibility at the highest level, can not be disregarded. In this sense, various contents shared in social networks are uncontrolled, thus social media has become a field where disinformation spreads and various terror propaganda can be done. Effective use of mass media in terrorist incidents has become inevitable as social media environments, which have a significant place in these instruments, have gained access to masses. In this study, radical terrorist organizations that use religion as opium and try to establish their own legitimacy have been evaluated by organizing and announcing terrorist incidents and by analyzing how and for what purpose they use social media in supporters collectively. In this context, the role of the media in the increase of terrorist incidents and membership of the organizations is very important. These radical formations, which are given with " To perform religious service" and " Jihadist understanding " and gathered around religious discourses, can easily gain mass influence through social media.
