Though long has passed since the ban on slavery in the world, there are still those who have been born, separated from the lands in which they live, and who want to give orders to people in other geographics and make profits from it.Thus, despite the many protective measures, contracts and declarations and international law regulations that the idea of human rights generates, human trafficking is a major social problem in the global sense. With the collapse of the Eastern Block, Turkey has become a country open to human trafficking, especially women trafficking.Human trafficking from Central Asia, the Middle East and Africa can be used as a transit country for the transfer of human trafficking victims to Europe or America. This crime can affect almost every country because it has multiple components, such as the source country, the transition country or the country of arrival. As with the collapse of the iron curtain in all areas, unfortunately, globalization has shown itself in the crime world, and human trafficking has begun to be listed in the world’s shame list as a kind of organized crime that crosses the boundaries. The dimensions of human trafficking in Kazakhstan and Turkey, which once hosted the silk road, will be examined in the light of the U.S. Department of Foreign Affairs’ 2018 human trafficking report. In the Kazakistan and Turkish law, it will be discussed how human trafficking is regulated in the criminal law, whether they can meet the minimum standards in the way of preventing this crime. Keywords: human trafficking, human trafficking report, human trafficking in Kazakhstan, human trafficking in Turkey, human trafficking crime.
