Hidrometeoroloji, hidrolojik çevrimin atmosfer ve yeryüzü aşamalarının arasındaki karşılıklı ilişkiye ağırlık verilerek incelenmesi olarak tanımlanır. Hidrometeoroloji bilim dalı, yeryüzündeki yağışların zamansal ve alansal olarak hareket ve dağılımlarını inceleyerek sistematik duruma getirmektedir. Ayrıca sulama, içme ve kullanma suyunda kullanılan kanal, baraj vb. yapıların planlanması, projelendirilmesinde ve işletilmesinde kullanılacak bilgilerin üretilmesi bakımından önemlidir. Araştırma alanı Türkiye'nin Akdeniz bölgesinde yer alan Seyhan Nehriyle Göksu ve Zamancı kısımlarının su toplama alanlarını kapsayan Seyhan Barajı Yağış Havzasında bulunmaktadır. Bu çalışmada hidrolojik ve meteorolojik gözlemler yapılarak öne çıkan çevresel sorunlar araştırılmış ve çözüm önerileri geliştirilmiştir. Seyhan Barajı Yağış Havzasının yıllık sıcaklık ortalaması 19 o C olmakla birlikte Akdeniz İklimi ve Karasal İklimi hakim iklim tipidir. Havzanın toplam yağış alanı 20.731 km 2 , yıllık ortalama yağış yüksekliği 624 mm ve yıllık ortalama akışı ise 211.07 m 3 /sn tespit edilmiştir. Havzada insani faaliyetlerin oluşturduğu kentsel atık su, katı atık, sanayi, tarım, sulama, hayvancılık, madencilik ve doğal kaynak gibi çevresel baskı ve etkiler değerlendirilmiştir. Bununla birlikte bu baskı ve etkilerin etkisiyle hassasiyet kazanan sıcak noktalara değinilmiştir. Ayrıca Havza koruma eylem planı Seyhan Barajı Yağış Havzası için zamansal olarak kısa, orta ve uzun vadelerde uygulanması gerekenler belirlenmiş ve genel çözüm önerileri sunulmuştur. Hydrometeorology, which examines the time and spatial movements and distributions of precipitation reaching the earth, makes it systematic. It also plays an important role in the production of the information to be used in the plans, projects and operations of the buildings. The study area in the Mediterranean region of Turkey with the Seyhan River Seyhan and Goksu covering the catchment area of the dam-timer lever is located at the Watershed. Hydrological and meteorological observations were carried out in this study to investigate the outstanding environmental problems and propose solutions. The annual temperature average of Seyhan Dam Rain Basin is 19 oC, but Mediterranean and Continental Climate is the dominant climate type. Total rainfall area of the basin is 20.731 km2, annual average precipitation height is 624 mm and annual average flow is 211.07 m3 / sec. Environmental pressures and impacts such as urban wastewater, solid waste, industry, agriculture, irrigation, animal husbandry, mining and natural resources generated by human activities in the basin were evaluated. However, the hot spots that became sensitive by the effects of these pressures and effects were mentioned. In addition, the proposed basin protection action plan for Seyhan Dam Rain Basin, the needs to be done in short, medium and long terms in time, general solution suggestions were presented.
