2nd INTERNATIONAL ESEP CONGRESS EDUCATIONAL SCIENCES AND EFFECTIVE PRACTICES
The aim of this study is to examine the mediating role of interpersonal relationships between impulse and anxiety. Looking at the hypothetical model of the study, it is observed that the external latent variable Impulse (impulse) affects the internal latent variables Interpersonal Relationships (I.Relationships) and Anxiety. In other words, it is assumed that the interpersonal levels of impulsive individuals are affected and their anxiety levels increase. The research is a quantitative study conducted using the relational screening model. In the research model, the data show a normal distribution. In the study, the Demographic Information Form, the Impulse Subscale of the Emotion Regulation Difficulties Scale, and the Brief Symptom Inventory were used to collect data. The Interpersonal Relationships Subscale of the Short Symptom Inventory used in the study; the relationship between the items of the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale Anxiety subscale was examined using Pearson Correlation analysis. The Shapiro-Wilk-W test showed a p > .05 value according to the normality assumption, indicating that the data follows a normal distribution. To understand the reliability of the Measurement Model, Cronbach’s α was found to be 0.892. The factor loadings of the items representing the dimensions separately indicate that the measurement tool is statistically highly reliable. Since the model fit goodness values CFI, TLI, NNFI, IFI, NFI, GFI, AGFI are less than 90, RMSEA, SRMR are also less than.Because it is 080, the model shows good compatibility. According to the DFA results, the item factor loadings of the scale are 0.46-0.It varies between 77 values. Due to the low factor loadings of k4, a1, and a3, these items have been removed from the scale. By examining the modification indices related to the analysis, covariance has been assigned between k2 and k3, and between a2 and a6. Since the goodness of fit values CFI, TLI, NNFI, IFI, NFI, GFI, AGFI are less than 90, RMSEA, SRMR are also less than .Since it is 080, the model shows good compatibility. In conclusion, this research examined whether there is a statistically significant relationship between anxiety and interpersonal relationships among adult individuals. As a result of the conducted analyses, a statistically significant positive relationship was observed between anxiety in adults and problems in their interpersonal relationships. In other words, as anxiety increases in adults, the problems in their interpersonal relationships significantly increase. In the literature, when examining the findings of existing studies on anxiety and interpersonal relationships among adults, it is observed that the results of the study align with these findings.
