Özet:
(AI):
Dyes are ubiquitous in our daily lives, and the textile industry consumes large quantities of water. Once discharged, these dyes cause environmental nuisances, particularly in aquatic environments, due to their high toxicity and low biodegradability [1]. Biosorption relies on the ability of certain biological materials to capture and retain dye molecules on their surface. Natural materials, such as plant residues (like reeds, algae, or fruit shells), are often used because of their availability, low cost, and effectiveness [1,2]. This research focuses on the study of the adsorption of the dye Rhodamine B by wild reeds, which are abundantly available natural adsorbents. The study examines the influence of various parameters, such as equilibrium time, pH, adsorbent mass, initial dye concentration, and temperature. Adsorption isotherms were established, accompanied by thermodynamic and kinetic analyses. The results show that the adsorption of Rhodamine B is well described by the Temkin model. The kinetic analysis indicates that the adsorption of this dye follows a pseudo-second-order kinetic model, as confirmed by several previous studies [3,4].
