Sleep apnea is health problem that can lead to serious cardiovasculer diseases. The results obtained in studies on the effect of CPAP/BIPAP treatment on reducing cardiovasculer complications in UA cases are controversial. In our study, prospective studies on the treatment of cardiovasculer complications occurring in cases with UA were collected and systematically analyzed. As a result of our study, when patients with sleep apnea were treated with CPAP/BIPAP, the treatment had an improving effect on heart functions and reduced complications. It has been determined that this effect is directly related to the use of the devices, especially at night. For this reasons, positive airway pressure therapy (PAP) should be among the treatment options in the treament of patients with sleep apnea diagnosed with cardiac disease.
