This study aims to examine the influence of Orientalists on Arabic literature in the 19th and 20th centuries. The contributions made by Western scholars to understanding Arab culture and introducing it to the Western world have left significant marks both academically and culturally. These contributions have facilitated the broader recognition of Arabic literature in the Western world and the promotion of its aesthetic values within Western academic circles. The works of influential Orientalists such as Ignace Goldziher and Hamilton Alexander Rosskeen Gibb, among others, will also be discussed in this study. The research encompasses academics, researchers, and experts who have shown interest in Arabic literature in the Western world. The contributions of Orientalists to Arabic language, history, and literature have led to greater recognition of Arabic classical literature in Western academic environments. However, the tendency of Western scholars to analyze Arabic literature within their own cultural frameworks has sometimes led to incomplete or inaccurate interpretations. Nevertheless, Orientalists have played a crucial role in introducing the aesthetic values of Arabic literature to the West, thus serving as an important bridge between the two worlds. The methodology followed in this study includes reviewing relevant academic works, articles, and theses. Additionally, discussions and presentations from the conference were analyzed to examine the impact of Orientalists on Arabic literature. In conclusion, the influence of Orientalists on Arabic literature has provided an important perspective on East-West interactions and has served as a significant cultural bridge. It is suggested that future studies should be conducted in a more objective and balanced manner.
